Colombia is Passion - Task

Objective: At the end of this task, students will be able to describe general information about their country. 

Task: Colombia is Passion was the first phase of a governmental strategy that strived to strengthen the image of our country internationally. This month students from our University have been invited to participate in the creation of a new video about Colombia. In small groups, write a new script for the video. Describe the positive things you would like to highlight about Colombia as well as our major challenges.

Writing our script

How to write our script 

1. Analyze the possible topics we are going to highlight in the new video. Use a graphic organizer to present your analysis.

2. Discuss the proposed topics and make a final decision with your classmates.

3. In small groups (three students), choose one topic and write a short paragraph (80-words max) to highlight the importance of that aspect in our country.

Not everything is perfect in our country, but we always fight for our dreams. One of these dreams is peace. We all want peace in our country and we are struggling to get it. Even when we have some economic issues, we want to overcome them and move forward with our lives. We Colombians are dreamers.

5. Look for pictures to be used as visual aids during the narration of the video.

6. Practice your oral presentation of this information.
